The journey has been demanding, meticulous and incredibly thorough, requiring collaboration and commitment from the entire CAMILLA team, both here and in India, and with our suppliers around the world. The depth of research, examination and discussion it required gave us – both individually and collectively – a chance to return to what matters most: our dedication to continuous improvement, the relationships and the values that we hold so dear, and – more than anything – the symbiotic connections between us, our planet, our artisans, our people, and our community… which are so fundamental to our success.
What Is B Corp Certification
B Corporation Certification is a global framework that measures a company’s entire social and environmental impact across the areas of Governance, Workers, Environment, Customers and Community. B Lab is the non-profit organisation behind the B Corp Certification.
To be granted and to maintain a B Corp Certification, companies must receive a minimum score of 80 points in a rigorous assessment across its social and environmental performance. We are proud to say CAMILLA scored a total of 88.4 points.
To achieve this, each business must show that it meets the highest social and environmental standards, creating a positive impact and using their business as a force for good in the world.

Why We Became A B Corp Company
First and foremost, we chose to pursue B Corp certification because we share the values of the B Corp global community.
The B Corp certified logo is fast becoming a globally recognised symbol that identifies a company’s dedication to upholding the highest possible environmental and social standards. B Corp is a global benchmark that identifies what is ‘best practice’ and recognises the companies that continuously strive to meet – and exceed – that benchmark.
The journey to becoming a B Corp gave us a framework to formalise our commitment, understand and measure our impact, hold ourselves accountable, and a path to continuously improve. The process gave us a platform to deeply explore our connection to Mother Earth, our people and to the arts and traditional crafts of our partners in India.
Becoming a B Corp shows that, as a business, we are genuinely doing our best to have a positive environmental and social impact, and that we are committed to continuously improving.
