Museum Memoirs

A 17th-century French carpet with landscapes displayed in The Met's Varengeville Room is digitally reimagined by the CAMILLA team. Inspired by the original carpet's floral and arabesque detailing, our homage features sunflowers and ornate crests in its intricate design.

Meet Me At The Met

We've reimagined Air, a 17th-century embroidered French hanging belonging to a larger set of textiles representing the seasons and elements. In this tribute, the CAMILLA artisans place The Met's storied tapestry on a backdrop of sumptuous red stars, and interweave motifs borrowed from gilded snuffboxes and elaborately decorated porcelain vases also in the Museum's holdings.

Life's Rich Tapestry

Our interpretation of a 17th-century French armorial tapestry bearing the arms of the Swiss Greder family is digitally expanded upon by the CAMILLA artisans. Florals from the central panels of the Museum's hanging are added to a bottom frame on the print, creating an elongated version of the original composition.

A Beloved Boudoir

The in-house CAMILLA artisans present a poetic fusion of 18th-century ornamentation designed for grand interiors. Details from the walls of The Met's Crillon Room, which reimagines the boudoir from the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, join elements of a British drawing for a Palladian-style ceiling design.

From The Founder & Creative Director

“The Met is a place where the past has a pulse. I wandered labyrinths of inspiration, soaking up centuries of rich textiles, tapestries, hand-painted porcelain, and intricate jewellery. The goal was never to reproduce history, but to let it breathe again, translated through colour, placement, and movement. Not all art was meant to stand still. It was meant to move: to live, to dance, to be experienced. This collection is history with a heartbeat, dressed for a new era.”
