The Met x CAMILLA Collaboration Launch Event

Founder and Creative Director Camilla Franks joined stylists, editors, tastemakers and friends of the brand for the unveiling of The Met x CAMILLA collection at an immersive and visually striking event at the Australian Chamber Orchestra on The Pier. Set against the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, guests arrived via a fully printed The Met x CAMILLA staircase, welcomed by the live performance of Ensemble Apex—creating a dramatic and unforgettable arrival moment.
Opening Night

In an unexpected twist, the evening embraced an all-black theme, with nearly all guests adhering to the dress code—except for 20 key attendees wearing standout pieces from CAMILLA. The deliberate contrast allowed the collection to take centre stage, letting the fashion show shine while surprising the industry with a bold, unexpected statement. The room shimmered under a glittering disco ball, with a sculptural floral installation doubling as a striking photo moment. Guests were immersed in a multi-sensory experience, moving to DJ Wikkepica’s energetic beats, live strings from Ensemble Apex, and a performance by Melbourne artist Jupita.
Art After Dark

The all-black culinary theme featured mini black burgers, caviar cones, and goat’s cheese creations, paired with Papp’s Salt gin martinis and Pommery champagne, creating a night of immersive style and glamour. The guest list featured a curated mix of VIPs, KOLs, media, stylists, industry representatives, and tastemakers in Sydney.

Key attendees included: Maddison Brown, Mel Jarson, Pip Edwards, Roxie Mohebbi, Montana Cox, Elodie Russell, Saskia Jenkins, Sarah Stephens, Jasmine Gee, Ploy Rida, Billie Jean Hamlet, Laura De Wit, Mana Mackay, Kylah Day, Angelina Thomson, Lakota Johnson, Kate Bell, Ben Turnland, Madeleine Madden, Jarvis Ayvali, Will McDonald, Tim Robards, Violet Grace, Erin Holland and Tom Derickx.
Wearable Art

This first-of-its-kind collaboration celebrates fashion as wearable art, inspired by works from The Met collection, reimagined through CAMILLA’s signature aesthetic. Featuring six distinct prints and a rich interplay of craftsmanship and storytelling, the collection includes hand-beaded and embroidered coats, flowing evening gowns, sharp tailoring, statement separates, and tasselled silk scarves.
Coming Soon

The evening’s centrepiece was a fashion presentation led by Founder and Creative Director Camilla Franks and Creative Director Mark Vassallo, bringing to life the collection described as ‘a love letter to creativity, history, and the power of self-expression.’ “Not all art was meant to stand still. It was meant to move: to live, to dance, to be worn,” said Camilla Franks. “This collection honours art as a living, breathing thing.”

The Met x CAMILLA collection launches online from 7 April 2026 and in-store from 8 April 2026.
